FAQs
Questions about reference photos can be answered here.
Bristol Board vs Canvas?
Bristol Board: fine, smooth, uncoated paperboard; best displayed in a frame
Canvas: a piece of fabric (canvas) stretched on a frame; can be displayed as-is. Final painting is sealed with a gloss varnish.
What should I expect after placing my order?
There will be varying turnaround times dependent on the time of year and my commission queue. Once your deposit is completed, your order is officially placed and is added to my list. I work through portraits in the order I receive deposits. I am open to communicating throughout the process, including progress pictures upon request.
Before the remainder of your deposit is paid, I will get your approval of the final piece. Once approved and the deposit is paid in full, the portrait will be shipped and I will send a link to track it.
Do you only paint cats and dogs?
Absolutely not! I paint ALL pets!
Are you open to things not listed on your website?
The short answer, yes. I’m open to all kinds of ideas so do not hesitate to reach out with whatever idea you have! I’m open to working on new surfaces as long as you’re okay dealing with me experimenting!
There are ideas that I will say no to, simply if I am uncomfortable or if it’s out of my wheelhouse (i.e. humans).
